If you join our team, you’ll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future. <h2>About the Role</h2> We’re hiring an Senior Engineer Storage Services to help design, build, operate, and improve storage capabilities across the Nscale platform, including Block, File, Parallel, and Object services. This role sits within the Engineering team and reports to the VP Storage Services, working closely with a technically strong group of engineers as well as senior technical leaders, including Principal Engineers. You’ll collaborate across the wider platform to ensure storage services integrate effectively with compute, networking, and platform tooling. You’ll play an important role in delivering reliable, scalable, and high-performing storage services that support both the broader Nscale platform and customer needs. It’s a strong opportunity for an engineer with solid storage and infrastructure fundamentals who wants to solve complex technical problems and contribute to the evolution of core platform capabilities in a fast-moving environment. <h2>What you'll be doing</h2> Storage Services Engineering <ul> <li value="1">Build storage services across Block, File, Parallel, and Object storage technologies.</li> <li value="2">Operate and improve storage platforms to support scalable, resilient, and secure service delivery.</li> <li value="3">Implement designs, architectures, and service improvements in partnership with senior engineers and technical leaders.</li> <li value="4">Contribute to the engineering and day-to-day running of storage platforms and services.</li> </ul> Platform Integration and Operations <ul> <li value="1">Support the delivery of storage capabilities aligned to Nscale platform standards.</li> <li value="2">Assist with integrating storage services into the broader platform to ensure interoperability with compute, networking, and platform tooling.</li> <li value="3">Work with the wider engineering organisation to understand requirements, resolve issues, and deliver services that meet platform and customer needs.</li> <li value="4">Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and service improvement initiatives led by Storage Services leadership.</li> </ul> Reliability, Monitoring, and Incident Response <ul> <li value="1">Monitor service health, performance, and capacity across the storage estate.</li> <li value="2">Improve observability, alerting, and operational readiness for production storage services.</li> <li value="3">Troubleshoot incidents, performance issues, and service problems using a structured approach.</li> <li value="4">Support root cause analysis and help drive long-term fixes to improve service reliability.</li> </ul> Automation and Continuous Improvement <ul> <li value="1">Contribute to service reliability through automation, tooling, documentation, and process optimisation.</li> <li value="2">Support engineering best practices across configuration management, testing, deployment, and operational support.</li> <li value="3">Maintain clear documentation for storage systems, operational procedures, service changes, and support processes.</li> <li value="4">Stay current with development…
